Important Program Information - Please Read Before Applying

Food Assistance for Refugees (FAR) provides monthly deliveries of food staples - dry goods and fresh produce - for refugees and other forced migrants who recently lost their SNAP Benefits due to the new "citizenship requirements."

**We only have the capacity to serve those on Montgomery and Prince George's County, Md.**

**If you are a client of IRC, please ask your case manager to connect you to this program directly**

• FAR provides food items that may vary from month to month depending on availability.
• Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or delivery of food items.
• Families experiencing the most urgent need due to financial hardship, household size, health conditions, or other circumstances will be prioritized.
• Only families who are contacted by Homes Not Borders via email or text and respond will receive food items on a monthly basis, provided they continue to meet eligibility requirements.
• The program reserves the right to discontinue services at any time or disqualify families from participation at its discretion.
• If approved into FAR you must be present at home during the food delivery time.
